HB Journal for Oct 10, 1940
From Brackbillwiki
It was a beautiful morning, this. Fall has a certain beauty and richness all its own. Over the countryside the trees are crowded with brightly tinted leaves and fields are weighted down with harvest.
Jane helped in the office this afternoon. Sort of like old times.
After supper I left my family a little while again and went to the annual C.E. convention of the county. Dr. Poling spoke and our chorus sang. There was a very good crowd.
