HB Journal for May 14, 1940

Jane washed & I drove the Chevy to work.

We had a little bit of a shower in the morning, but it surely didn't last long. It turned out to be a pretty good work day.

Mr. Young went to Phila. in the afternoon. I didn't do much for I couldn't find much to do.

After supper we worked in the Garden. It was fun running the little garden tractor around. We worked till dark. Then we sat around and drank peach juice and headed for bed.
