The day unfolded pleasingly, revealing a cold, snappy wind, frozen underfoot, and a bright sun in clear skies overhead.

Groffie was not at the mill again today--it was the day of his Dad's sale. We were kept pretty busy and worked overtime to prepare for tomorrow.

After a soupy supper, I took Hershey and Warren to Board meeting at Emma's. We made out fine, not doing much, but we all pitched in when the eats came. We played ball with gumdrops and tried to catch them in our mouths. The moon was big and bright & I couldn't do anything.
