HB Journal for Mar 30, 1940
From Brackbillwiki
This morning we overslept about thirty five minutes. I had time for very little breakfast and was feeling hungry for no more.
We were busy on this my last day at the mill but got finished till noon.
I was to go home with Dick but because he stayed at Kramers' till 6:30 & played the ball machine, I had to stay too. I enjoyed it. Jane didn't.
After late supper I shopped at the Gap a little then we visited down home. It was really blowing, raining a little and plenty warm.
Commentary
Herman gave his notice to John Hess on February 9th, almost seven weeks prior to his departure.
