HB Journal for Mar 24, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
The old faithful alarm called me about six this morning and I was the first man to work at the mill.
We did what we could and waited for a carload of Purina to come in and then set to work to mix a half dozen big waiting orders. We finished quite on time then John and I waited till 6:30 for Dick to come, all in vain.
After late supper, I played one game of Chinese Checkers, then tried to budget myself till the wedding. I looked over my C.E. topic & then to bed.
It was a very swell day. The warmest and brightest yet.
