HB Journal for Mar 11, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
Once for a change, I got up early and went to the mill early. We were real busy and worked a good part of the afternoon to get finished.
It was real cold when the day began and soon it was snowing. After snowing a few inches, it turned to sleet, then rain in the evening.
Jane & I took a couple of the boys to Harry's Blue Ball spelling bee where I was a judge. The rain freezing on the windshield made it mean.
Jane & I made up for lost time. We wound up by sleeping or oversleeping.
