We were supposed to get up early and get at the washing, but, as you might have guessed, we didn't get up early at all.

Jane washed anyhow and didn't get to work early. We were not overworked at the mill. This time of year is slack.

In the evening we went into Lancaster to County Chorus practice but not enough came to have practice so we saw a movie --"The Hardys Ride High". It was a real good, decent picture. We got to bed rather late.
