I felt very much like taking my time to getting to work this morning for John was not there. We boys had it all to ourselves but had to work hard to get done till one thirty.

It was a nice hot day and we sweated; especially hoeing the potatoes in the afternoon. Mrs. Eckman came and visited us.

Dick & Hen took us to see a show after supper. Then we came back here & ate & visited. It was not late when they left but bed was the next thing in order.
