HB Journal for Jun 12, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
Two alarm clocks called out the alarm that it was five thirty and two of us hurried to quiet their feverish tinglings. Two of us had breakfast and the like.
Then I went to the mill & Jane stayed behind to finish up and do the washing. The day was nice after the rain—a perfect day in June.
We were not rushed again and Groffie & I worked in the tail race.
After a nice supper, we hurriedly dressed & took Stan along to Chorus practice in Lancaster. We got home quite early.
