HB Journal for Jun 10, 1940
From Brackbillwiki
We begin another week but not the usual washday Monday. Last night's rain left mud everywhere and the world soaked.
Jane went to Lancaster and I to work again. It was a wet Monday. That means that farmers from far and near took time off to visit us a little.
After supper H.B. and I were both back at our desks on the job.
Having so far neglected current events in the political world, I sidestep my former habit and record that Italy declared war on England and France on the side of Germany.
