HB Journal for Jul 8, 1939

From Brackbillwiki

It was so hot it bed this morning that I sweated. The day grew warmer as it grew older and all we could do was grin and bear it.

I was mechanic and fixed the eccentrics on the wheat cleaner and it took most of the forenoon. Groffie & I took a dip after dinner.

We got our piano tuned. Jane was busy in the afternoon and of course I got in her road as usual. It sort of burned me up and I wasn't feeling good anyhow, & I've been missing my lovin' so we aren't petting this Sat. night. Maybe sometime, again, for I gotta be wanted and appreciated.
