HB Journal for Jul 23, 1940

Sleeping on the living room floor last night made us fit to get up this morning. It was a cool sleep for a change.

Jane took me to work and then went on in to Lancaster with Mother, Auntie, & Nancy. We ordered a cash register.

After a short, late dinner I finished my forenoon work. We were busy all day.

After supper I went back to work. Jane went along & visited Mother. It rained a very little this afternoon and is a little bit cooler.
