HB Journal for Jul 14, 1939

From Brackbillwiki

Things started as usual and proceeded as usual. We were there early enough to start the mill for a great change.

The wheat is coming in at a fast rate - about 4500 bu already. It is in fine shape and the price isn't so good - 65¢.

John was away nearly all afternoon. It was hot and we sweated as we went along. Romaine & our Curtis's saleslady were here again.

After late supper, I mowed the lawn & Jane did some gardening. We visited down home a little & enjoyed it quite a bit. We wanted to get to bed early but it looks as if we didn't.
