HB Journal for Jan 25, 1940
From Brackbillwiki
We got around to getting up etc. in pretty good time. Groffie was to take me but was quite late. John Hess, Morrie & wives and Clair started for Washington, leaving the work for us boys to do. We were kept quite busy but enjoyed it all the while.
It was pretty cold again and clear - real winter weather.
After supper we went to choir practice again. I got my car out of the garage. Then we went down where Nancy was in bed with a slight temperature. We came home ready for bed.
