HB Journal for Jan 17, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
I turned my alarm clock off and went to sleep for a half hour. This was a poor trick to do for it made me late for work.
We hadn't many orders to start on this morning, but we were practically swamped till evening.
The weather was very fine as usual, warm, yet the snow stayed.
After supper we all "packed up" and went to a C.E. social. We played "ping-pong" "Chinese Checkers" and had a good time in general. As usual, Jane & I were not together much--to my regret.
