I was in no great hurry again this morning and was late for work. It was not very fancy day for anything, rainy but not raining, cold but not cooling. We were plenty busy but hadn't the feed to go ahead right. We were done in pretty good time.

I didn't go away after supper. I didn't hurry away from the table but took my good old time. I wrote Short a long letter which I owed him from away back. We listened to the radio, then I helped Dot with hers. Later as we drank cider -- not hard. But later than necessary.
