HB Journal for Feb 17, 1940
From Brackbillwiki
The alarm started ringing full blast and brought us right out of it this morning. We were early and got a nice start at the mill. That was a good thing for we had plenty to do--we finished about four thirty. John Moore was there & not Allen.
After I came home, I dressed, then went to our C.E. Valentine Supper at Church. The roads were bad so the crowd was a little small. We served 84.
We had a good time anyway and had a little choir practice afterwards. It was about ten oclock when we got home.
