HB Journal for Feb 14, 1940
From Brackbillwiki
I got up @ four oclock for it was raining and I had to close the window. We got up the second time at ten of seven and Groffie had to wait.
While on our way to work, the rain began changing to snow. Soon it was sending us a real Nor'easter. It kept up all day and into the night.
Allen & John Moore were out today but we got along somehow.
By evening the roads were pretty full and so Jane & I stayed in after supper and caught up a little of our home work. It still blows & snows at nine thirty.
