HB Journal for Dec 26, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
Groffie's old air horn wakened us about seven oclock this morning so I had to drive to work later in my own car.
We were faced by a hangover from our Christmas rush. Webbie was along & "trucking" wherever he could.
It was not very cold today nor are there many signs of snow.
After supper Jane finished ironing & I did the dishes, Auntie & Nancy came up and visited. Nancy & I played or tried to play chess. We had no such fun.
Now it's bed none too soon.
