HB Journal for Dec 22, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
Groffie drove slow to work but only Allen was there. There was no power but I got the mill to running and then called the company. Soon it was all O.K.
We were busy as the dickens all day and tried to get a little bit caught up for tomorrow.
There was a mighty strong wind blowing and it was pretty cold.
Jane took Mother to Harry's entertainment. We ate supper in home. Then I came back and got a haircut. We wrapped presents and talked to the canary till ten or 10:30 then retired.
