HB Journal for Aug 18, 1940

I am so tired (physically) that I am tempted to retire without making this entry but it was such a wonderful day that I must inscribe.

Youngie & I had a big breakfast, then we went to S.S. Church was at Old Leacock -- Communion -- and I sat in the choir.

I took Dot & Mary Jane over home to the Leaman family picnic. We swam, played & had the best of fun. It was kinda rainy.

After supper, Harold & I took MJB home & went in to visit my wife & child. Home again--we talked for an hour then I came home.
