HB Journal for Aug 13, 1940

A bad day, at least a bad morning. I over slept about an hour and was late for work. It was a busy day and we had to keep up with it.

The weather was very warm all day. This evening we were favored with a heavy thunder storm and a flooding supply of water.

Between things, Mother & Ruth Newswanger & I went in to see Jane. She was just fine as usual.

After we came home I went to the Baler shop to see Phil's movies with the rest of the boys.
