The wedding of E. Herman Brackbill and Jane Young occurred at 3:00 PM on May 20, 1939 at Leacock Presbyterian Church.

The marriage of Miss Jane E. Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur S. Young of Kinzer, and E. Herman Brackbill, son of Mr. and Mrs. [[Harry G. Brackbill|H. G. Brackbill], of Kinzer, took place Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Leacock Presbyterian church. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Jay W. Kauffman, pastor of the church, in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives.
The wedding marches and a short organ recital were played by Mrs. Willis L. Herr, organist of the church, and Mrs. Jay W. Kauffman, wife of the pastor, sang two numbers.
The made-of-honor was Miss Elizabeth Doutrich, of Lancaster, and the bridesmaids were Miss Ethel Bryson, Paradise, and Mrs. Valner Robinson, Bird-in-Hand. Harry Brackbill, Jr., brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and the ushers were Harold Brackbill and Warren Brackbill, brothers of the groom, and Everett Young, brother of the bride.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was gowned in white net over satin with a square neckline and a shirred bodice. She wore a finger tip veil, caught with orange blossoms. The maid-of-honor wore pink chiffon and carried pink snapdragons, while the bridesmaids were gowned in fuschia chiffon and in powder blue chiffon, and carried mixed snapdragons.
The flower girls were Joyce Elaine Moore, Paradise, and Ruth Ann Yunninger, Kinzer. They wore identical dresses of deep pink, and carried pink baskets filled with lilies of the valley.
Mrs. Young, mother of the bride, was gowned in blue chiffon over taffeta with dark blue accessories.
A reception for the immediate families and a few close friends followed in the social rooms of the church, after which the couple left on a wedding trip to New York and the New England states. They will be at home May 27, in their home in Kinzer.
The bride is a graduate of the Paradise High School and attended the Lancaster Business College. At present she is employed in her father's office, Kinzer. The bridegroom is graduate of the Paradise High school and Millersville State Teachers' College. He taught school one year and is now employed by the firm of John J. Hess.
