We had to crack open the shell of slumber and rise up to the daily tasks. Jane thought it most important to do the ironing in the morning and to take Mother, Nancy, and Eunice to Lancaster in the afternoon. Nancy bought a bicycle.

Everything was fine and dandy in the Young Co. Headquarters.

After slow and late supper, we just sat around and did odds and ends and not much of anything. I made a little music and Jane wove. We went to bed early.
