HB Journal for May 1, 1940
From Brackbillwiki
May Day. It didn't rain much after all last night and it was still a little cloudy. It was warm and nice as it could be.
Jane took Mother & Nancy to Lancaster. Nancy got her cello. Jane finished her dentist troubles for another little while.
We missed choir practice for a change in favor of something more important.
Red McLaughlin & Arvella Boone got married at her home and we were there to see it happen. Of course we stayed for eats and watched her crazy S. S. class root the bed & bedroom all up. We got home late.
