HB Journal for Jun 20, 1940
From Brackbillwiki
We got up a little brighter & earlier this morning. Jane had breakfast on the table when I came down. She took me to work and went on over home & helped can peas all day.
We were not especially busy at work today, and so it went well. I had dinner down home.
It was very cool today--below 70 even inside.
After supper we took Romaine & Mother & Nancy to Chestnut Level. It was a swell night and swell service but we hadn't enough time to talk with the kids. We got home late & sleepy as well.
