The grind again. I received nothing for my trouble yesterday but a very severe cold. I didn't even get rested.

Allen didn't get to work today on account of he was sick with influenza. Groffie took his place (tried to) and I got several swell trips out in the little truck.

It was a hot day, but we had quite a few showers of rain to keep the dust down.

After a late supper, Earl Beane dropped in to visit & collect for the building fund. We left it get late on us and till Jane finished the ironing and canning it was nigh bed time.
