HB Journal for Aug 28, 1940

This night life is or must be getting too much for me for I over slept and was a half hour late for work and had no breakfast.

It still rains a little and still we are busy. Customers everywhere tracking mud all around.

We miss our cook but get along all right. Mother and Nancy were away all day.

After supper I did the dishes. Schupps dropped in for a nice little visited.

We listened the radio and worked on S.S. reports. Really are a sleepy bunch ready for bed.
