HB Journal for Aug 12, 1939

Now, today was a funny day. When I got up I thought I had appendicitis or something but that wore off.

At work I had two trips that each lasted about two hours. That and repairing the water wheel was the extent of my day's labor.

Jane picked me up then & I washed in the creek & shaved over home. It was the Brackbill Reunion and we had dinner at the large picnic.

We had a baseball game & quite a lovely swim. There were 108 about there.

After lunch supper we cleaned up & listened to the radio & talked.
