We were astonished to see it snowing and blowing this morning. It looked awefully beautiful - the fine white snow swirling like vapor everywhere. This soon cleared and gave way to a bright sun and a lowering temperature.

We went to work. John went to the farm show and gave us an opportunity to visit the fire every hour or so and even to play checkers at noon.

After supper we braved the zero weather and took a trip to New Holland where we had a happy, squirrelly East Branch board meeting. We got home cold and hungry about 10:30.
