John's absence at the mill meant a good bit to all of us. It meant chiefly that we would while our time away foolishly and then wish we hadn't.

It was a nice day and we got our work all done. Of course, we had to watch the shovel working somewhat.

I left the mill about four oclock. Jane & I hurried then and got to Lancaster about 5:30 for a supper meeting of the Lanc.Co. C.E. Union Staff meeting. It was fun. We got home by nine thirty - Standard time.
