We weren't so early again this morning but in this kind of weather no one feels like even moving.

I'm not complaining, but merely recording facts.

The weather is hot again. The shower last evening amounted to almost nothing for a little section right around here. The beetles are bad on many crop and the dry weather a few more.

John went away in the afternoon and we did all right.

After supper we cleaned up and dressed up. I read--Jane went to the store. We sat on our new glider, a gift from Dad Young, until dark & then went inside and later to bed.
