Plan Progreso

Plan Progreso (PP) is a regional neopopulist political party. It was officially founded 25 March 2004 by José Luis Paredes, who was then mayor of the city of El Alto (elected as the MIR candidate in 1999). In 2005, Paredes joined an alliance with PODEMOS and ran as that party's prefecture candidate for La Paz. He was elected with 37.99% of the valid vote.
