Kura Nui

Kura Nui was an island where a Shadow Toa held captive a group of Matoran he had kidnapped. The Matoran were freed after a group of Toa defeated the Shadow Toa. Kura Nui then became the home of many of the freed Matoran, where they were protected by the four Toa that had saved them.
