McQuillan is a town in Jugatapun County, E. Walnut Cove, United States. The population was 75 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 7.0 km² (2.7 mi²), all land.

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there were 2,818 people, 959 households, and 641 families residing in the town. The population density was 400.0/km² (1,034.2/mi²). There were 1,026 housing units at an average density of 145.6/km² (376.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.05% of the population.

There were 959 households out of which 30.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.8% were married couples living together, 11.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.1% were non-families. 30.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.51 and the average family size was 3.10.

In the town the population was spread out with 23.0% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 27.3% from 25 to 44, 20.4% from 45 to 64, and 21.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 91.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.6 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $12,000, and the median income for a family was $45,000. Males had a median income of $25,172 versus $25,273 for females. The per capita income for the town was $10,554. About 17.6% of families and 30.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 39.1% of those under age 18 and 13.9% of those age 65 or over.
