Jimmymun and the Dead Cat

Controversial in that there was a great deal of confusion and misinformation about what was actually going on due to a lack of any sort of OOC community, the conflict centered on Jimmymun and Daisie. The character of Jimmy is from the movie Practical Magic. He's a drug dealer, a woman beater, and a rapist. It's understandable he had quite a few enemies. However, some players are better than others at keeping IC and OOC separate. Bast's player agreed to stop an action that Jimmy's player was uncomfortable with, but Daisie continued. Annoyed, Jimmy's player rashly posted a picture of a dead cat. Later, she changed it to a text link. The post was deleted and Jimmymun was banned. The points of controversy are then:

• There was no rule against posting a picture of a dead animal at the time
• Kali claimed that they got tons of e-mails about the post; this claim is unsubstantiated by ex-mods
• There are discrepancies in accounts of whether Kali waited to discuss anything with the other mods before banning Jimmy

DC Bashing and the First Nexodus

What set the bashing off appears to be an incident where a Marvel Mary Sue showed up with a Green Lantern ring and sparkling. Black Canary, who due to her character canon (the last time an unknown showed up with a Green Lantern ring, the universe was almost destroyed) wanted to know where she got the ring from, and said that if she didn't show any proof she was allowed to be carrying that, she'd call the Green Lantern high council. The player argued that because she (the player) knew OOCly that nothing bad would happen, Oracle should back down. Black Canary and the mod pointed out that this was in character for Black Canary. The player and Kali appeared to be having trouble understanding this, and somehow Kali came to the conclusion that this was "Marvel bashing." From then on, incidents like "jokingly" calling DC "whitebread" after a few posts of discussion about the perceived lack of minority characters in comics abounded. (Kali's harassment is often subtle and difficult to discern -- until it happens to you.) Players who left:

• doctorfatejsa
• sexy-huntress
• magic-cigam

Since then, Oracle's player has been accused of numerous personal attacks, stealing players from Sages (which is technically not an RPG), and basically been called a manipulative bitch. This is more or less all without Oracle's player saying one word to Kali, or often, even thinking about her.

OMG Get Away From Wade

Kali has some kind of serious fixation on Wade and his romantic relationships with non-Marvel characters. Hippolya was repeatedly harassed/sniped at by Kali's alts (sometimes by many alts in the same post) and, despite friendly e-mails, the problem persisted.

sirynum-scopuli, who is played by JP-mun, had been Wade's one serious romantic interest, as it is in the comics. This lasted until JP-mun, sick of Kali's bullshit, quit Sages and took her alts with her. Kali immediately created song-of-erin. It's worth noting that her previous alt, painkiller-jane, also had a physical/romantic relationship with Wade. Since then she actively interferes with any female expressing any serious interest in Deadpool, as recently as this thread, in which she simply hijacks Abby's platonic-flirty thread to do what some players view as screwing with his head.

IV. Indigo

I made comment on Sages in response to somebody asking what slash was. My comment was pretty harmless. I said that slash was basically a contrived situation where X character and Y character woke up gay. I'm pretty sure I also said it was lame. Kali then came to me in my LJ to take me to task for it in response to a post that had about 5% to do with the Sages situation.

After that, Kali's alts were consistently hostile to Indigo, even to the point of making idiotic assumptions. Because people were unaware at this time who Kali played, Indigo could only assume the "mods" were the ones antagonizing her, not an unjustified assumption as two of Kali's characters have mod status. Indigo left, those who knew what had happened left, there was much annoyance on the parts of all parties, but the general populace were left in the dark going "Bzuh? What happened?" This is nexodus two.

Kali's Hands are Up Our Butts

One night in #Basement we were messing around, pretending to be various Sages people and hitting each other with bladders tied to sticks, etc. etc. the shit we always do as Sagetards. When we finally got tired of that -- and this is before we made a separate OOC channel -- somehow we got started talking about this rumor that Kali and Frank and a bunch of the other mods were the same people. We were all like "... what. She'd have to be crazy to do that." There was some speculation, some complaints, all very minor, and the conversation soon turned to other things.

However, Mariko_Neko posted the log to Nexus_Tales without editing it. Kali and her 7530857 alts have a shitfit on the post while pretending they're laughing. Ebonbird, the mod, froze and friendslocked the post, and it is still there in the archives.

This eventually sparked nexodus three, a large portion of which shifted first to Between, then to Dear_Multiverse.

Spell Gud Or Else !!!

Following the apparently secret decsion that grammar and spelling are to be enforced on Sages, Kali reverts to her usual habit of only warning players she doesn't like, and ignoring typos from her favorites. This was more or less the last straw for many characters, who were fed up with her neuroses and her favorite hobby of deleting posts and comments. Todd posted to BRPS with an apology to those he RPed with at Sages. The Teen Titan crowd decided they should discuss moving to Dear_Multiverse.

At about this point, two Kaliminions showed up to condescend at people. One is reportedly Nique, the former roommate of a few other players in the general community. The other is unknown, but the writing does not noticeably resemble Kali's usual style.

The Teen Titan crowd have elected to move to Dear_Multiverse, which makes this the fourth nexodus to date.

In Conclusion

Dear Kali: Constructing this site is depressing me. I will closely monitor this feeling, examine my thoughts, and use this time for self-reflection, because that is what you do when you are mentally ill. I may then discuss this with my therapist when I next see her. I strongly suggest you do the same because if I am mentally ill then you are a mental ebola virus of a person. Your psyche is spewing metablood all over the cramped, hellish interior of your brain. The voices that tell you it is okay to act like a total cretin are wrong. GET HELP.
