Viserys I Targaryen, King of the Seven Kingdoms

Viserys I of House Targaryen, King of the Seven Kingdoms (reigned 103 AL - 129 AL), was the grandson of Jaehaerys I Targaryen, King of the Seven Kingdoms.

He succeedeed his grandfather on the throne.

Viserys I's oldest child was his daughter Rhaenyra Targaryen. His oldest son Aegon II was born a year later.

On Viserys' death a succession dispute called Dance of the Dragons broke out between Aegon II and Rhaenyra.
