Prince Rhaegar of House Targaryen was the first son and heir of Aerys II Targaryen, King of the Seven Kingdoms and Queen Rhaella Targaryen.

275 AL His younger brother [Viserys III Targaryen|Viserys]] was born.

Rhaegar married Princess Elia of House Martell. They had two children, Rhaenys and Prince Aegon.

Robert Baratheon, Lord of Storm's End vowed to kill Rhaegar for what he did to Lyanna Stark.

During the Battle of the Trident Robert Baratheon, Lord of Storm's End fought Prince Rhaegar at the ford. In the end Robert's warhammer smashed the chest of Prince Rhaegar.

He died for the woman he loved.
