The Lord of the Iron Islands rules from Pyke. The current lord is Balon Greyjoy.
After Harren the Black, last King of the Isles, and his sons perished at Harrenhal Aegon the Conquerer allowed the surviving iron lords to chose who should have the primacy among them. They chose Vickon Greyjoy, Lord of Pyke.
