Balon of House Greyjoy, Lord of the Iron Islands, King of Salt and Rock, Son of the Sea Wind, Lord Reaper of Pyke, is wed to Lady Alannys of House Harlaw. They have four children, Rodrik, Maron, Asha and Theon.

Balon proclaimed himself King of the Isles, starting Greyjoy's Rebellion. Robert Baratheon, King of the Seven Kingdoms and Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell joined forces to defeat him.
