Castle Pyke on the island Pyke is the seat of House Greyjoy the ruling house of the Iron Islands. Balon Greyjoy is the current Lord of the Iron Islands and Lord Reaper of Pyke.
History
Balon Greyjoy, Lord of the Iron Islands proclaimed himself King of the Isles, starting Greyjoy's Rebellion. Robert Baratheon, King of the Seven Kingdoms and Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell joined forces to defeat him.
Maron Greyjoy was slain on the walls of Pyke.
289 AL At night Balon Greyjoy, King of the Iron Islands surrendered to Robert Baratheon, King of the Seven Kingdoms. Balon's son Theon Greyjoy became the hostage and ward of Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell.
