The Dance of Dragons was a succession dispute between Aegon II Targaryen, King of the Seven Kingdoms and his one year older sister Rhaenyra Targaryen after the death of their father Viserys I Targaryen, King of the Seven Kingdoms. Both perished during the war and Rhaenyra's son Aegon III became king.
