Bio
Herve Abbott is the photographer partner of the journalist Roy Alty. Travels around with him a lot searching for stories. Also has an assistant (Angel) whom he makes carry all his equipment as part of her "training" and is often annoyed by due to her flirtatious personality and manner of dress.
Herve is in general a happy guy. He's a bit of a coward and isn't very athletic. He's also a bit of a crybaby. He's pretty much incredibly lazy about almost everything. He's reasonably smart, but doesn't really go around flaunting it and is a bit of an airhead.. He's the kind of person who would think he lost his glasses if he put them on the top of his head and only realize they're up there if he looks in the mirror or they fall on his face. He generally likes to be helpful, even at the cost of his own time or comfort which directly contradicts how lazy he is. Doesn't like to bother people with his own burdens. He's also a little full of himself but it's totally for good reason. A little vain too. Herve's hobbies include cooking, sewing and photography as well as people watching. His favourite people to watch are men, of the attractive variety. Despite his interest in just about every good looking man, Herve is the boyfriend of Roy Alty and is actually quite loyal to him.
He has a St.Bernard named Hephaestus (he calls him "Heffy" )
He had a generally happy childhood. Has a mother, (still living) named Rose. She's blonde too, around 50. Looks it. Grandparents, (still living) named Gertrude and Charlie. Gertrude is short and kind of reminiscent of Pooh Bear if Pooh bear were an old lady. She has black hair with grey strands which she tries to perm but usually forgets to and ends up having to wear it with like, a bajillion clips in it even though it would probably look fine without them. She likes to wear red since she thinks it makes her look more striking and interesting. She has a fondness for bright colours and has shoes with bright green shoelaces regardless of the fact that they'll clash with her red outfits. Charlie is a rather tall fellow, about 6'2" and is very sturdy like a tree trunk. Despite being in his 80's his hair is still blonde with no signs of white or grey. He's the kind of person who you really can't imagine ever falling down because of how solid he seems. He's prone to getting angry but it's usually because of how caring and concerned he is for whatever it is he's getting upset about. He has the tendency to say strange and even inappropriate things at times which Gertrude would yell at him for. He also has the tendency to get lost in big or crowded places and can usually be found by looking for the prettiest young girl in the immediate area whom he is almost always talking to. Despite not really having traveled much in his life he seems worldly because he has knowledge of numerous places (which he gained from watching TV) and can tell you all about them.
as well as a brother (still living) named Vino. Herve used to be closer to him, but they've grown apart over the years as with most siblings. He's older than Herve. Around 30/31.. Herve has an active imagination and is led to believe that Vino is a mob boss in his secret life and that's the reason he isn't around the family much. Although he believes this and worries about him, he makes an effort to keep his brother's secret life a secret and doesn't talk about it. Vino has blonde hair as well, but often dyes it which further makes Herve believe his brother is trying to maintain a double life.
As for his father, he and Herve's mother just decided it wasn't working and they got a divorce.

Chapter Guide
Herve is seen, but doesn't speak in this chapter. He can be seen with Roy in the beginning of the chapter when Blake is looking out the window at New Traverse City.
A rather damaged Herve alerts David Gray and his subordinate of the television report concerning the attack on New Traverse City.
Herve meets Samson and leads him on a wild goose chase for the letter Gray left. (which was in Herve's pocket the whole time). He also puts cupcakes in his pocket, and apparently is involved with something with Evan, Rick and Isaac.
