The Send Lazzo Pizza Boxes For Great Justice Campaign
From Asaction
On September 11, 2008, a new Saturday schedule was introduced that essentially decimated the Action block as we knew it and relegated two premiering anime shows to the 5-6am graveyard slots in favor of reruns of crappy comedy shows. This infuriated many Action fans, who called for the restoration of the block and demanded accountability from the higher-ups at Williams Street, despite the fact that said higher-ups don't seem to give a flying fart about what the anime fans want.
In an effort to encourage Action fans to do something proactive about the change rather than just complaining on a message board that nobody at Williams Street will ever read, Cille created the Send Lazzo Pizza Boxes For Great Justice Campaign. Inspired by Code Geass' Pizza Hut product placement, disgruntled Action viewers used pizza box cardboard as a medium for expressing their displeasure with the new schedule and asking for the anime to be aired at a time when they can actually be awake. It remains to be seen whether being inundated with dozens of pizza box tops and postcards will convince Lazzo and his schedule monkeys to quit kicking anime to the curb, but at least we can say we did something constructive with our outrage and maybe even had some fun in the process.
