The Bebop Impact

Cowboy Bebop remains to this day, one of the most universally accepted animated series from Japan. It is ofted cited as being a great "gateway" series to the world of Japanese animation. Many non-fans of anime have stated that while they hold disdain for the genre, they adore Bebop.

The series was also the first anime to be aired on [adult swim] back in 2001. Since it's original run, it has remained a favorite of the block; it's never gone too long.

Most of the team responsible for Cowboy Bebop have also been a major part of other [as] action shows. A majority of the animation staff went off to form the renowned studio BONES. Their first big project: The Cowboy Bebop movie.
