Bio
Clarice is a member of the Blacken Syndicate, her main job seems to be planning, similar to Samson's job. Clarice tends to think Hikki is unfit to be a leader, because he's not very good at planning, and isn't very responsible but follows him anyway. Clarice has feelings for Samson, which was made more apparent in chapter 29.
She was living at her family's house since her home was repossessed with her sister Mimori and her parents. Later she joined Samson in living at the cafe, her main reason was to come along to defend Samson from Hikki's advances since Hikki tends to be more frightened of her than Samson. Clarice originally joined the syndicate to help maybe make working conditions better for herself as she's been unable to find a job since Ozzal made economic conditions so poor. Clarice seems to enjoy relaxing in bubble baths in her spare time and isn't a fan of her sister's cats.
Chapter Guide
Chapter 5: It Happened one night
Clarice's first appearance; she almost immediately shows her disdain of Hikki's leadership skills. During the rescue of Raef Compton from Comdot, she relays orders to the Syndicate at large and monitors the operation.
Clarice comforts Hikki when he breaks down during a Syndicate meeting discussing Samson's capture in Comdot Estate.
Chapter 17: The French Connection
Clarice walks in on Hikki once again taking advantage of Samson and promptly chucks a roll of bread at him...however, it hits Samson instead. After witnessing the Frenchman give Sam "CPR", she vanishes to the basement of the bakery where Sam promises nothing serious is going between the two men. He also promises to protect Clarice. Insert "awwww's" here.
Though not actually in this chapter, Hikki and Samson have a earnest discussion regarding the latter's growing feelings for the woman.
Worried about Samson's increasingly moody demeanor, Clarice tries to talk some sense into him. Surprised at the amount of concern she has for him, she begins to question if what she feels could be more than friendship. Later, Clarice confronts him about his paranoia regarding Father Sadar.
Clarice helps supervise the admission of Mustang, Emiri, Havoc, and Kira into the Syndicate. Later, DangerCille visits the cafe and tells Clarice and her two cohorts about the downfall of the Syndicate and Landon being evil and stuff.
During the big confrontation in the abandoned mansion, Clarice (together with Samson and Hikki) engages in combat with many Cool Mexicanos red shirts. Once the fighting is over, she seeks out Samson, whom she finds reflecting on his angsting and general jerkiness. She listens to his soul pouring and apology and the two share a kiss.
