2: Our Rights

1. All human beings are born free and equal

2. in dignity and

3. rights. They are endowed

4. with reason and conscience and

5. should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood. This is the will of God.

Commentary: This book establishes the basic idea that all humans are naturally free and equal and states that they should act in a compassionate and rational manner towards other humans.
