The Fire
From Aryez
Book 32 of the Marfat
32: The Fire
1. There is a fire that can never be
2. extinguished; no wind can blow it out
3. nor any water quench it. It burns
4. eternally, giving life to the righteous
5. and consuming the evil-doers and
6. turning them into ashes. It is a
7. light so bright that not all the darkness
8. in the world can overcome it or
9. put it out. It is a desire that rages
10. in the hearts of all men, a hunger
11. in their hearts and minds. It calls
12. out to all, for so great is its power.
13. It is the weapon of the truthful and the
14. bane of the hypocrites, traitors, and liars.
15. Like a bright streak that never goes out, it always
16. illuminates the dark sky and pierces the
17. thick fog. Those who have seen it have
18. a light shining in their eyes like no other
19. light. For this fire is the flame of
20. God.
Commentary: This literary passage describes the glory of the righteousness of God. The founder also said that fire is an extremely sacred substance in which one can feel the awesome and mystic power of God.
