Book 35 of the Marfat

35: The Resilient

1. Red roses that blossomed so sweetly,

2. beautiful flowers which blossomed,

3. the plants of God, these plants are continuously beaten into the

4. dust by rough hooves and uncouth feet.

5. Yet after each time, they bloomed again. Pulverized into

6. the coldest, hardest dirt. And yet, they

7. bloomed more beautifully than ever.

8. Snow covered them, blood drowned them,

9. the grass around them withered. But

10. they stood through everything, through

11. there was no light, no soil, nor any air. And still they blossomed.

12. Cold plagues came from the north, the oceans

13. of the west flooded them, the fire of the

14. east burned them, the land of the south rose up against them, and yet they still

15. lived. Even though the Earth perished and the skies turned

16. black, they lived through all the trials of

17. the world. They lived, and shone

18. brighter than the dawn, their

19. glory revealed before the whole

20. world. God makes things resilient, like the afore described flower.

21. Say: “God is my strength, my hope, my

22. Lord, my Savior. I love God,

23. He gives me the courage and power to

24. face and overcome my worst fears, to

25. weather my trials, to carry on in life.

26. God is the rod I lean upon when I am

27. hurt, He is my friend when I have

28. nobody else, my guide though life,

29. my hope, my friend, my love. For God

30. I live and because of God I live!”

Commentary: This poetic allegory uses plants to describe the survival and enduring power God gives to those loyal to Him and those who have hope in a cause. According to the founder, this book is very dear to him because it was inspired by a poetic discourse he once had with his best friend after an argument in which the plant represented the strength and endurance of the friendship. The book ends with a prayer.
