Arya
From Aryez
Arya refers to the sum of the philosophical-religious system practiced in Aryez. The term in somewhat overlapping with Arsahan but whereas that refers to all Aryezi thought, this focuses more on religious-philosophical and ethical thought. It excludes to a large extent scientific and legal thought and some philosophical thought. In essence it forms the core psyche of Aryezi thought. It consists of:
The organized religions of:
1. Aralan (Eshanarash): Organized monotheistic religion that believes in life after death in some sort of heaven, angels, and good and evil.*
2. Aryenil (Shannarash): Organized religion which believes in salvation, redemption, and a savior being and that one god can be manifested in several different ways.*
3. Valaha: An imperial polytheistic cult.*
The semi-organized religions of:
1. Aryeduxaha: Nature worshiping religion that believes the world is alive with spirits. *
The Philosophies (some of which are somewhat religious in nature) of:
1. Anrel: Panentheistic and mystic philosophy.*
2. Tolyaha: Based on the philosophies of J.R.R Tolkien. Based on hope, sacrifice, and righteous action. Also includes elements of destiny. Important influence in Aryezi aesthetics.
3. Pilyaha: Based on the philosophies of Akhilesh Pillalamarri. Based on ideas of war, conflict, truth, and justice.
4. Martaha: Based on the philosophy expressed in "A Song of Ice and Fire" by G.R.R.Martin. Power-based and Machiavellian.
The Ethical-Moral Codes:
1. Ade: A code of societal interactions based on respect, harmony, and duty.
2. Arha: A personal code of honor, emphasizing noble and honorable actions.
(A total of 10, thus sometimes referred to as "Dumsahan" or the "Ten Ways" ).
"*"Denotes institutions with temples or Ronds, although some are far more organized than others. However, outsiders would define all as religions. More than often, these 5 share compounds on the same Rond. All five have agreed to follow the same civil law procedures (in Aryez, civil law is left to religious institutions), thus Arya ethical law is the same in all five so there are the same rules for marriage and family matters across Aryez regardless of sect; however despite this agreement, these religions do differ on many moral, ethical, philosophical, and theological matters.
Most Aryezi do not exclusively follow one religion; most Aryezi people do not believe in just one exclusive religion; instead they incorporate the features of numerous Aryezi philosophies and religions in their daily lives in a process known as syncretism. These beliefs often complement each other and most people follow a mix of all of them. Very few people follow just one exclusively. As expected from this mix, there are numerous variations of many beliefs but most beliefs agree on some sort of afterlife and some sort of supreme spirit.
Most Aryezi, when asked their religion, will answer Arya.
History
Descriptions and Beliefs
The ultimately reality of the world is a completely infinite, omnipresent force, termed here “the One (Iru)”. Thus this force is everything, within and beyond the Universe. It is everything that is and that is not. The Universe is thus just a manifestation, perhaps one of many, perhaps the only one, of this force; we know not since we cannot comprehend the whole. Just the Universe is finite and the One is infinite so they cannot be the same; for it cannot be that something that has boundaries and something that is limitless can be the same. It is thus that the force is panentheistic not pantheistic. Yet humans can see the One through the lenses of their perceptions- so they see it as gods, as science, as a single God, as no God, they see it in many ways, and they are grasping the reflection of the truth. For if one sees a reflection, he has but to look for the source of the light and grasp that.
The force is beyond time and space. Time and space are but aspects of the Universe, a relative existence, a manifestation of the force. The One transcends all time, all space, all dimensions, and quantifiable classifications. In this force there is no good no evil, no right, no wrong, this Oneness transcends such human distinctions, it transcends all reality. Verily it can be said that the ultimate beauty, the ultimate good and ultimate truth is this force, since it is reality, it transcends everything. Thus the highest goal, one can argue, is to know the nature of reality, to transcend it, to know the truth about the One, to break down the barriers that separate the individual consciousness from the totality.
This force, being beyond human comprehension and human emotions can never be truly understood, nor fully comprehended. This force is the cause of the creation of this Universe. However since it is on a plane beyond that of humanity, it did not create the Universe. Rather the Universe itself manifested from this force as the manifestation of things from this force is a property of this force, just as attraction is a property of gravity. All things, all laws of nature, all aspects of reality, all physical matter, all energy, all spiritual existence is but a manifestation of this force, this ultimate oneness. This force is thus an active force, in that it is animating, in that in its animation it is the source of energy, which drives the Universe. It is the source of birth and death, creation and destruction, growth and decay. It is active in that it fills the Universe with happening just passive in that it is not arbitrary, it does not cause things out of a will, but out of its very own inherent existence. This force takes consciousness to a level beyond the comprehension of humanity. All things have consciousness, but being the sum of all things, the consciousness of this force is infinite. Thus this force is synonymous with complete knowledge, complete and pure consciousness. This force is the source and definition of everything.
Thus is can be said that all laws, ethics, and rules are manmade. But men with greater understanding of truth and the force have clearer and higher minds, and have the ability to create laws of a greater nature than men who do not have knowledge of the One. So it is necessary in this world, in this relative reality that we must experience that we experience it in a way that reflects justice and comfort, truth, and goodness. Thus ethics are necessary, ethics which fit the collective definition of righteousness and the circumstances of the age. All matters in the Universe are reflections of this metaphysical reality. Physical matter, and spiritual existence, the properties of the Universe observed by science, the ethics, religions, and politics of man, the quest for truth. All these are part of the One.
Arya in Real Life
Arya in real life is different from the fictional Arya for Aryez. It is a real religious and philosophical system to be practiced in the real world. In real life, it is also known as Aryasaha (noble path) or the Atsaha (eight ways) otherwise known by its Sanskrit name Astadharma (Chinese: Bajiao). Arya reconciles and unites with each other and logic and science, eight different paths of earthly thought: Hellenism (Greco-Roman philosophy), Confucianism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Christianity, and Zoroastrianism.
